Julius Caesar. AR Denarius, 46 BC. Sicily (?). Obv. COS. TERT - DICT. ITER. Head of Ceres right, wearing wreath of barley. Rev. AVGVR/PONT. MAX. Culullus, aspergillum, jug and lituus; in right field, M (Munus). Cr. 467/1b; B. (Julia) 16. AR. 4.08 g. 18.50 mm. Great metal and full weight. A superb example of wonderful style, brilliant, with underlying luster. EF.
