Julius Caesar. AR Denarius, 47-46 BC. Obv. Diademed head of Venus right. Rev. CAESAR. Aeneas advancing left, carrying palladium in right hand and Anchises on left shoulder. Cr. 458/1. AR. 3.74 g. 18.00 mm. From masterly engraved dies. Obverse off centre. Lovely iridescent cabinet tone. Good VF.
