Youthful bust of Vejovis left, seen from behind, holding thunderbolt in upraised right hand; in right field, ROMA in monogram. / Lares Praestites seated right, each holding staff in left hand; between them, dog; above, bust of Vulcan with tongues over shoulder; LA on left, ER on right, L. CAESI in exergue. Cr. 298/1. B. 1. AR. 3.94 g. 19.50 mm. A superb example of full weight and perfectly centred on a broad flan. Lovely golden tone. Minor areas of light striking flatness on revers, otherwise EF/About EF.
