C. Curiatius f. Trigeminus. AE Semis, 135 BC. D/ Laureate head of Saturn right, behind S. R/ Prow right; above C.CVR F, before S. Below ROMA. Cr. 240/2a. AE. g. 6.01 mm. 23.00 Untouched earthy green patina. Ragged flan, otherwise good VF. The Victory on reverse isn't visible, but the style and the weight (considerate the metal lack) of the coin suggest that this specimen belongs to official issue of C. Curiatius Trigeminus, dated 135 BC. The coins without Victory, listed by Crawford with the number 240.2b, and dated also 135 BC, are considered by RBW unofficial issue, dated after 82 BC.
