Divus Marcus Aurelius (died 180 AD). AE Sestertius, Consecration issue. D/ DIVVS M ANTONINVS PIVS. Bare head right. R/ CONSECRATIO SC. Aquila standing right on altar, head left, holding wreath in beack. RIC (Comm.) 657. AE. g. 23.56 Scarce. A spectacular portrait. Lovely green-brown patina. Gently smoothed, otherwise EF.
