EGYPTIAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF SEKHMET
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A bronze statuette of the striding Sekhmet with her left foot forward. The lion-headed goddess wears a tripartite wig and a tight-fitting dress which reaches to the ankles. She has both arms at the sides of her body. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
