PAIR OF ROMAN GLASS BEAKERS
Ca. AD 100 - 300 A pair of Roman glass vessels. The first vessel on the left has a flared rim, cylindrical body and is seated on a concave base. The first vessel has a gorgeous pearlescent patina. The second vessel has a pear shaped body, with a moulded line on the shoulder and has a large neck that is connected to a vertical, short rim. These vessels were likely used for storing perfumes or scented oils. For similar see: MET Museum Accession Number: 74.51.5819.
