IRON AGE CURVED DAGGER WITH BRONZE PANTHER HANDLE

CA. 100 BC A curved, single-edged iron sword, possibly a machaira or a sica. The weapon sweeps downward and the handle is in the form of a panther reading onto its back legs. Curved knives like these were popular weapons around the ancient Mediterranean.
