CHINESE TANG DYNASTY TERRACOTTA MUSICIAN - TL TESTED

Ca. AD 619 - 906 A Tang dynasty terracotta female musician. She depicted in a seated position, playing a double sided drum. Her hair is neatly combed into a coiffure consisting of a high topknot and is dressed in a long brown robe, topped with a cropped red overcoat. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
