Ca. 8th-7th century BC A black coloured cylinder seal, likely from the western periphery of the Neo-Assyrian empire (East Anatolia or Cyprus), 8th - 7th centuries BC. It depicts a winged sun disc (Shamash), a schematized life tree and a worshiper or priest. Studied by PD Dr. habil. Pieter Gert van der Veen, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.
