MEDIEVAL BRONZE ENKOLPION CROSS WITH CHRIST AND SAINTS

Ca. AD 900 - 1100 A Medieval bronze Enkolpion composed of two halves. It is decorated with crucified Christ and saints depicted on the top of the arms on side A. On side B, there is a depiction of the Virgin Mary with saints. The two halves are connected by a bronze hinge perforated by a horizontal hoop to fix the rope.
