APULIAN LEKANIS WITH FLORAL PATTERN
Ca. 400 - 300 BC An Apulian red-figure lekanis decorated with floral decorations on the two main sides. A series of vertical stripes adorn the outer periphery of the rim, meeting the black-painted body below. Twin loop handles protrude from either side of the raised bowl, while the large knob atop the lid displays a sunburst design on its depression.
