EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARAB IN SILVER RING
Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC Egyptian silver finger ring with a carved steatite scarab. The scarab has a frilled clypeus, sinuous legs, and bulky elytra. On the lower side is a hieroglyphic inscription framed in a carved line. For similar see: MET Museum Accession Number: 22.1.311.
