ATTIC OINOCHOE WITH CYLINDRICAL BODY

Ca. 450 - 380 BC An Attic black figure Oinochoe with a cylindrical body, a vertical handle and a flat discoid foot. This form of vessel takes its name from its purpose to contain wine that was served at banquets. The black-figure decoration is typical of the archaic period.
