VIKING SEAX WAR KNIFE WITH SILVER INLAY
Ca. AD 900 - 1100 A single-edged broken-back style Viking seax, with silver inlaid decorations on the blade. This seax is typical of surviving examples as it has a much thicker back edge to add significant strength to the blade. This knife also has a groove that runs parallel to the tang. Apart from the silver inlay, the blade has developed a dark brown patina.
