ROMAN BRONZE HANDLE WITH RAM HEAD FINIAL
Ca. AD 100 - 300 A finely modelled, hollow cast bronze example of a patera handle terminating with a ram’s head. The patera was used for serving drinks and food at banquets, or for carrying the libations used in religious ceremonies and funerals. The handle was often cast separately from the patera.
