ROMAN BRONZE PATERA HANDLE WITH RAM HEAD
Ca. AD 100 - 300 A finely modelled, hollow cast bronze example of a patera handle terminating with a ram’s head. The patera was used for serving drinks and food at banquets or for carrying the libations used in religious ceremonies and funerals. The handle was often cast separately from the patera.
