Ca. 300 - 200 BC A terracotta head of Alexander the Great from the naturalistic tradition of sculpture for which the Hellenistic period is best known. He is represented with simple facial features, a straight nose, almond-shaped eyes, and a characteristic hairstyle under his headdress.
