ETRUSCO- CORINTHIAN ARYBALLOS WITH LIONS
Ca. 700 - 600 BC An Etrusco-Corinthian wheel-thrown pottery aryballos of petite, spherical form with a corseted neck and a thick, collared rim. Incised across the exterior are two facing lions and a swan surrounded by flowers accented with red and black pigment. The rim and the bottom are adorned with concentric circles and a register of petite petals surrounds the neck. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession Number 41.162.59.
