ROMAN DEEP BLUE GLASS PYRIFORM BOTTLE
Ca. AD 100 - 300 A Roman blue glass bottle with a narrow neck. The elongated pyriform body tapers down to a hemispherical bottom. Bottles with this type of bottom were unable to stand upright. In this case, they were likely used not only for storage but also for transporting liquids. Crafted through the art of glassblowing, these bottles were esteemed for their robustness and visual allure.
