ANGLO-SAXON BRONZE CRUCIFORM BROOCH
Ca. 6th century AD
A bronze cruciform brooch with a carinated bow, rectangular headplate, and frontal knob. Decorated with incised patterns. These brooches were produced in a variety of shapes and sizes and were typically used to secure clothing and other textiles, such as cloaks or veils. For a similar example, see R.
