RARE APULIAN EPICHYSUS WITH EROS
Magna Graecia, Ca. 400 BC
A beautifully decorated red-figure pottery epichysis with Eros in genuflection, holding a wreath. White painted leafy vines with berries enrich the scene. Palmette decorations flank the figure, beautifully painted on the leaf-shaped cartridge. A high arched handle terminates on the rim with a small moulded face. Intact and in excellent condition. This item comes with a professional historical report from Ancient Report Specialists.
