ETRUSCAN POTTERY BOWL
Ca. 500-400 BC
A pottery bowl of Etruscan origin, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Fashioned from clay, this bowl exhibits a ring foot that provides stability and elevates the vessel from its resting surface. The flaring body gracefully expands from the foot, culminating in a wide opening adorned with a rounded rim, creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional design. However, it is the interior of the bowl that truly captivates, as it is embellished with intricate concentric circle designs. Etruscan pottery production was a significant facet of the civilization's artistic heritage. The Etruscans excelled in the craft of pottery, employing a range of techniques and styles to create vessels of varying forms and functions. From humble utilitarian wares to exquisite decorative pieces, Etruscan potters demonstrated their mastery of the medium.
