MEDIEVAL IRON DAGGER WITH DISC-SHAPED POMMEL

Ca. 1300-1500 AD
A short iron double-edged dagger with a slightly curved sculptured cross guard with incised decoration and tapering tang to brazil-nut shaped pommel, Oakshott type H1 or H2. This beautiful example probably belonged to a medieval knight, who may have used it as a secondary weapon in close combat.
