HELLENISTIC GOLD AND GLASS NECKLACE

A restrung necklace comprising variously shaped glass beads, interspersed with gold beads and pendants. Necklaces were part of the feminine costume in the Hellenistic world and were used both for aesthetic purposes and to communicate social messages of status and wealth.
