Anonymous, time of Basil II and Constantine VIII (970-1092). Æ 40 Nummi (32 mm, 14,4 g). Constantinople, AD 976-1030/1035. Bust of Christ facing with ornate crossed nimbus, raising hand in blessing and holding Book of Gospels. R/ Legend in four lines. Sear 1813. Very fine.
