Phrygia, Laodicea ad Lycum. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Æ Assarion (19,7 mm, 5 g). Ailios Dionysios Sabinianos, magistrate, c. 139-147. Draped bust of Dionysos r., wearing wreath of ivy and fruit. R/ Dionysiac mask of Silenos, wearing wreath of ivy and fruit, lying r. on cista mystica entwined by serpent; to l., pedum over which hangs pair of cymbals. RPC IV.2 online 2114.23; SNG Copenhagen 532. Good fine.
