"Roman Provincial
CAPPADOCIA. Caesaraea-Eusebia. Domitian (?), 81-96. Tetrassarion [AYTO KAI ΔOMITIANOC CЄBACTOC ΓЄPMA] Laureate head of Domitian (?) to right; on neck, countermark: L XII in rectangular punch. Rev. [ЄΠI TIT ΠOΠ BACCOY ΠPЄCBЄY ЄT IЄ] Mount Argaios surmounted by statue of Sol-Helios (?), radiate, holding globe in his right hand and long scepter in his left. RPC II 1387. For countermark, Howgego 737. An interesting legionary countermark. Heavily scratched, otherwise, fair.
This countermark was applied by Legio XII Fulminata, based at Melitene near Caesaraea."
