1st-2nd century AD. Bronze mount in the shape of a goat with impressive detail work. Large opening at the back, with two out of three iron nails still in the sockets, a suspension hoop to the top of the head. The socket served for the attachment of the figure onto a wooden or an iron handle. Very fine example. Intact. Provenance: From the family collection of a South London gentleman since before 1990s.
