Obv: IҺSЧS XRISTЧS ҺICA Cross potent set on three steps atop globe.
Rev: +LEωh / Eh X'ω EV/SEbHS bASI/LEVS Rω/mAIωh in five lines within dotted border interspersed with eight equally spaced globules.

Chip and very slight bend, but a lovely example.
Leo VI continued his father Basil I’s efforts towards cultural renaissance, but did not share his military success. The Roman Senate and the office of Consul were legally abolished during his reign.
