A decent portrait and lovely toning.

This coin was issued during the conflict between King and barons over the king’s favourite, Piers Gaveston, who was executed by the barons in 1312. Meanwhile, Robert the Bruce succeeded in pushing the English out of Scotland, culminating in a decisive victory for the Scots at the famous battle of Bannockburn.
