France. Lower Lorraine(?). Anonymous (?). First half of 10th century. AR Denar (18mm, 1.16g). Carolus monogram / cross with pellets in each angle. Dbg. 1454 (for prototype (?)); Ilisch 4.1 (for prototype (?)). Very Fine, flat spots, unusual jagged rim. Rare.

The legends of the coin are blurred but it has similarities with Ilisch's 4.1 (and Dbg. 1454) from Lens, however, until the legend can be fully interpreted the present coin must be treated as an Anonymous emission.
