Paphlagonia, Sinope. Civic issue. 120-80 B.C. AE 19 (19.3 mm, 7.99 g, 12 h). Time of Mithridaates VI. Struck ca. 85-65 B.C. Laureate head of Zeus right / ΣΙΝΩΠΗ, ethnic in exergue beneath eagle standing facing, head right, wings open atop thunderbolt; "AE" monogram in field, left. Cf. SNG Cop 303 (star in field); Waddington, Rec. Gen., Pl. Suppl. O, 16.; BMC 13.99.40. Good VF.
