Seleukid Kingdom. "Antiochos Soter". 246-ca. 244 BC, or later. AE (17 mm, 3.78 g). Very rare and very nice for the issue.
It is not known who struck the "Antiochos Soter" coinage after the death of Antiochos II. It may have been the loyalists under Seleukos II, or more likely, the forces of Ptolemy III who were in the region prosecuting the Third Syrian War. The coins are quite rare, with just five examples having appeared on CoinArchives over the past 20-odd years!
