Uncertain Asia Minor, Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor. Pseudo-Autonomous. Time of Hadrian, A.D. 117-138. AE 19 (19.2 mm, 4.08 g, 12 h). Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Athena right wearing ornate aegis / Brockage of the obverse. VF, minor earthen adhesions.
RPC lists nearly 100 types with the bust of Athena and two serpents emerging from the aegis which are also anepigraphic. Nearly all of them are attributed to the reign of Hadrian but a few scarcer types do exist during the Antonine and Severan periods.
