Troas, Alexandria. Civic issue. 301-281 B.C. AE 14 - half unit (13.58 mm, 1.78 g, 10 h). Laureate head of Apollo right / ΑΛΕΞ, Apollo Smitheus walking right, quiver over shoulder, holding bow and patera, mouse at his feet. SNG von Aulock 7545; BMC 9, 1; Bellinger A22. Fine, rough black-green patina, uneven surfaces. Rare.

Coins of this type from the period immediately after the re-naming of the city by Lysimachos in 301 - Unit, half-unit, quarter & eighth are all rare and mostly overstruck on uncertain earlier types
