Description

Augustus. 27 B.C.-A.D. 14 AE quadrans (14.6 mm, 2.65 g, 7 h). Rome mint, struck 4 B.C. C R[VBELL]IVS BLANDVS , large S C with moneyer's name concentrically around / [IV] VIR? A?A?A F?F, titles around round garlanded altar with bowl-shaped top. RIC I 467; CBN 868. VF, struck strongly, but somewhat off-center on smallish flan, losing some legend both sides - warm, chocolate-brown patina. RIC says: "scarce".
