Byzantine lead seal of Ioannes patrikios
(7th/8th cent.)
Obverse: Inscription in 4 lines following a cross, +ΘΕ/ΟΤΟΚΕ/ΒΟΗΘ/Η = Θεοτόκε, βοήθει (Mother of God, help), wreath border.
Reverse: Inscription in 4 lines, ΙΩΑ/ΝΝΗΠΑ/ΤΡΙΚΙ/Ω = Ἰωάννῃ πατρικίῳ (Ioannes patrikios, the owner of the seal), wreath border.
Condition: Very Fine
