Byzantine lead seal of Michael imperial spatharios (7th cent.)
Obv.: Bust of Mother of God, facial, nimbate, the usual sigla ΜΡ-ΘΥ (Mother of God), with Jesus Christ on her left hand, facial and nimbate, sigla on His wreath O ΩΝ (the One who exists), traces of dotted border.

Rev.: Inscription in 6 lines, +ΘΚΕR,/ΤΩCΩΔ,/[Μ]ΙΧΑΗΛΑ'C/ΠΑΘ,ΑCΤΙ/[]/[..]ΑΛΟΥ=Θεοτόκε, βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Μιχαὴλ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ [.....] (Mother of God help Michael imperial spatharios....), traces of dotted border.
