Kingdom of Macedon, Alexander III 'the Great' AR Drachm. 336-323 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied beneath chin / [?]?????????, Zeus seated to left on backless throne, his feet resting on a low foot rest, holding long sceptre in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing to right with closed wings; to left, tunny fish upwards; monogram of ?? beneath throne. Price 1513. 4.13gr, 17mm, 3h [No Reserve] Near Very Fine.
