2nd-4th century A.D.. Modelled in the round with heavily-lidded eyes, wavy hair and ushnisha; Mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. Jongeward, D., Buddhist Art of Gandhara in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 2018, item 70, for type. 315 grams total, 97 mm including stand (3 3/4 in.).

Acquired in the London art market. Private collection, 1970s.
