South East Asian Gilt Bronze Ceremonial Mace Fitting
Circa 10th-12th century A.D. Hollow-formed with stepped median bands and floral boses, scooped foliate edges; tiered central 'spike' with surrounding petals and radiating hatched detailing. 419 grams, 11.8 cm (4 5/8 in.).
Acquired UK art market, 1980s-1990s. Property of a Suffolk, UK, gentleman collector.
