Calligraphic Rock Crystal Gem in Silver-Coloured Metal Pendant
Mid 20th century A.D. The frame with ornate scalloped edge, articulate bail, cut and polished rock crystal inlay inscribed with calligraphic Arabic script interspersed with floral tendrils; pierced geometric flower to reverse, together with possible maker's stamps in comma-shaped cartouches. 91 grams, 85 mm (3 3/8 in.).
London collection since the 1980s. Property of a Canadian family. [No Reserve]
