Anglo-Saxon Coins - Merovingian - National Phase - Tasnacum Gold Tremissis
7th century A.D. Tasnacum mint (location unidentified). Obv: TASNACO VI legend with crude bust. Rev: LEVDOVALDO moneyer legend with VA ligated with crescent-topped cross (or inverted anchor?). Cf. Belfort 212 and 3972; see Prou 2642 for examples for moneyer Leudinus. 0.94 grams. Property of a Colchester, UK, collector.
