Description

Romano-Egyptian Silver Snake Ring 3rd century B.C.-1st century A.D. A silver ring formed as a coiled snake composed of a tapering body, tail coiled around the neck at the bezel, punched crescents, circles and lines representing scales, eyes and tongue. 4.12 grams, 25.24 mm overall, 20.22 mm internal diameter ( approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/4, Europe 20.63, Japan 19) (1 in.). Ex private collection of a West Sussex collector since before 1970. [No Reserve]
