Macedonia - Alexander III (the Great) - AR Tetradrachm. 325-323 B.C. Lifetime issue, Myriandus mint. Obv: head of Herakles right, wearing lionskin headdress. Rev: BASILEWS ALEXANDROY beneath and to right of Zeus seated left, legs parallel, holding eagle and sceptre; BAI monogram in left field, IM monogram beneath throne. Price 3228; Demanhur hoard 2796-2819. 17.27 grams. Ex UK private collection.
