Pattern Polpolushka [≠aΨ] (1700). Bit 1427 (R4), B 1 (RRR), Diakov 1, Ilyin RRR (250 Rubl.), Uzd 2256 (RRR). Introduced in the monetary reform of Peter the Great, the smallest fractional denomination in Russian coinage; minted only in this year and never adopted. Missing in all Western Russian collections, sales and museums outside Russia. Extremely rare and the first time ever offered in the West. Deep olive-brown over somewhat rough surfaces Very Fine
