Thrace, Abdera. Silver Tetradrachm (14.35 g), ca. 450-425 BC. Pythinnes, magistrate. Griffin seated left with forepaw raised; in left field, hand, EΠI EYΘINNEΩ ( sic ), Shallow incuse square containing magistrate's name: EΠI EYΘINNEΩ ( sic ; E for Π), and inner quadripartite linear square.
