Cilicia, Tarsus. Hadrian. Silver Tridrachm (9.01 g), AD 117-138 ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΘΕ ΤΡΑ ΠΑΡ ΥΙ ΘΕ ΝΕΡ ΥΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC CΕ, laureate bust of Hadrian right, slight drapery on far shoulder. Reverse: ΤΑΡCΕΩΝ ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛΕΩC, Sandan standing right on a horned lion, extending arm, holding bipennis and wreath; c/m: laueate head right within oval incuse. Prieur 767; RPC III 3266; Howgego 843. Lightly toned. Very Fine.
