ANCIENT GREECE. PTOLEMAIC KINGDOM. Ptolemy II 'Philadelphos'.
Silver Tetradrachm, circa 275-261 BC. Uncertain Cypriot mint.
Obv: diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis. Rev: ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, eagle standing left on thunderbolt; monogram above A in left field.

Good Very Fine; underlying lustre.

Reference: CPE-414; Svoronos-365; Roma E-96, lot 439 (inferior specimen - hammer: £700).
